A Pakistani intruder was arrested along the International Border in the R S Pura sector of Jammu on Thursday, according to Border Security Force (BSF) officials. This incident marks the second arrest of a Pakistani national in the area within the month, raising concerns about cross-border infiltrations.
The vigilant BSF personnel noticed suspicious movement and effectively intercepted the individual shortly after he breached the border line. Despite thorough searches, officials confirmed that no incriminating materials were found with the arrested person. He is currently under questioning by joint teams from various security agencies.
The first arrest in September involved a Pakistani intruder identified as Siraj Khan, hailing from Sargodha in Punjab, Pakistan. Khan attempted to cross into Indian territory near the Octroi area within the same sector. During that apprehension, BSF troops fired warning shots and successfully detained him, recovering several Pakistani currency notes from his possession.
Security agencies continue to enhance surveillance along the International Border, focusing on deterring unauthorized entries from neighboring Pakistan. The rising frequency of such incidents underlines the ongoing challenges faced by Indian border forces in maintaining national security.
