Shri Sinha urged the medical fraternity to ensure affordable care and connect specialists with patients in remote areas of J&K. “Over the past decade, modern technologies have fundamentally transformed the eye care field, offering faster diagnoses and precise treatments. These advancements have significantly increased healthcare access and individualized care for patients across the region,” he said.<\/p>\n
AI-powered systems are now enabling doctors to identify early signs of disease and various eye conditions, paving the way for timely interventions. The Lieutenant Governor remarked, “Dr. Agarwals Eye Centre and other healthcare providers must harness these technologies to offer treatments comparable to those available in major cities like Delhi, Mumbai, and Chennai. This is essential for redefining healthcare delivery in J&K.”<\/p>\n
During his address, LG Sinha highlighted the healthcare sector’s impressive transformation in Jammu and Kashmir under the central government. He stated, “Under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, we strive to ensure quality healthcare access for every citizen, irrespective of geographical barriers. In addition to advanced technologies, the Lieutenant Governor called for Dr. Agarwals Eye Centre and other hospitals to conduct free eye check-up camps throughout J&K, focusing particularly on rural and border areas. He advocated for the use of telemedicine and virtual consultations to enhance care delivery. “We need to reach people effectively and ensure they receive medical attention through digital means whenever possible,” he stated.<\/p>\n
